Course

Create a beautiful wall hanging using Eta’s stunning styles and techniques. Colourful woollen yarns and unspun fleeces and other materials will be available for use in your freeform weaving, working on an upright loom.

The course is suitable for those completely new to weaving as well as experienced weavers.

Trigonos is the perfect place for a weekend course or creative break, with comfortable accommodation in single or twin, en-suite or non-ensuite rooms. Full board is provided and the food is all freshly prepared with much produce from our own land. The extensive grounds provide a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery at the end of the day. Residential and non-residential places available. Non-weaving friends and partners are welcome to join you.

Facilitator

Eta Ingham Lawrie is remarkable artist who over more than six decades has brought light, warmth and colour into people’s lives – whether by working on a small scale producing a range of artefacts for individuals or by creating magnificent hangings that cover a whole wall of an institutional building or community space. Her work can be both intensely bold and extraordinarily subtle, it is highly organic and free-flowing in its style and touches the soul with its generosity, openness and sense of quiet completion.
