The post holder will be expected to work closely with the General Manager and Booking Assistants to ensure that all bookings and customer communications are managed professionally, and that Trigonos business remains aligned to the vision and values of Trigonos and Ruskin Mill Trust.

 

Duties include;

  • Working collaboratively with the General Manager and Assistant Manager – Hospitality, to ensure optimum operations in line with bookings, room allocations and availability
  • Ensure all social media platforms are regularly updated and managed successfully in order to positively promote Trigonos, with a focus on increasing bookings, bed and breakfast, private events and courses.
  • To work with the Ruskin Mill Trust marketing team to help produce publicity and marketing materials
  • To work with all guests and colleagues to ensure that their stay is of the highest standard
  • To oversee all bookings and bookings systems, encouraging the development of processes, where required, that align to the business and guest need
  • To communicate effectively with new clients to build solid relationships, encouraging future and repeat bookings
  • To manage booking channels such as booking.com
  • To seek and promote opportunities for BnB bookings when the centre is not at full capacity
  • To undertake on call duties and duty management
 

What we are looking for team member who are/have;

  • Skilled in a variety of advertising and marketing methods, including digital, print and social media, or willing to to embrace development in this area 
  • Applications from Welsh speaking applicants would be highly desirable although not necessary.
  • Experience of working in a leadership role in the hospitality sector is preferred, but not essential
  • High level of personal resilience and ability to think with an innovative and solution focussed perspective when faced with barriers
  • Highly Computer Literate in Microsoft office applications, especially Excel
  • Committed to the development of Trigonos as a wellbeing retreat, college and social enterprise

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Chefs and Hospitality Team to ensure that all guests continue to receive high quality meals and services, and that Trigonos business remains aligned to the vision and values of Trigonos and Ruskin Mill Trust.

 

Tasks include;

  • To prepare vegetarian breakfasts for groups of up to 25 people (breakfast buffet style)
  • To welcome the guests to the breakfast area and assist with any queries
  • To support the creation of homemade breakfast items and preserves such as breads, musli, jams, juices etc.
  • Ensure the information about allergens and dietary requirements is displayed for guests
  • To be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen whilst on shift and undertake general kitchen duties
  • To provide support with stock taking and ordering as required
  • There is a requirement for the successful candidate to be flexible and undertake additional hospitality tasks where requested
 

Work pattern;

  • The pattern of work is flexible due to the varying nature of our bookings, but shifts are generally six hours long, with typical shifts between 6:30am and 12:30pm. We operate 7 days per week all year round, but aim to share shifts equally throughout our team and accommodate existing commitments such as childcare.
 

What we are looking for team member who are/have;

  • Applications from Welsh speaking applicants would be highly desirable although not necessary.
  • Experience of working in a catering and hospitality environment
  • Reliable and be available to be on site by 6:30am

Hospitality Assistant

  • Be part of the Housekeeping Team – Maintaining cleanliness of the Centre, including bedrooms and workspaces, between groups/visitors on changeover days;
  • Be a part of the Catering team – Work alongside our chefs in the kitchen – helping to serve and create delicious food, keeping the kitchen clean and to close our restaurant after each service
  • Welcoming guests, ensuring a pleasuring guest experience for the duration of the stay, maintaining the ambience and sense of place across the retreat
 

Work pattern;

  • The pattern of work is flexible due to the varying nature of our bookings but shifts are generally 6 hours long, with expected shifts to take place between approximately 9am and 10pm. We operate 7 days per week all year round, but aim to share shifts equally throughout our team and accommodate existing commitments such as childcare.
 

What we are looking for team member who are/have;

  • Experience of working in a catering and hospitality environment is advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience of working front of house would be desirable, but full training is provided
