Do you provide towels?
Towels and soap are provided. In the interests of sustainability we do not change towels every day. If your stay is for 5 days or more we will automatically change towels at around the mid-point. If you require clean towels at any point they are always available on request. All beds have cotton sheets and duvet covers.

Can I smoke indoors?
It is now against the law to smoke anywhere inside the buildings. Smoking out of doors is permitted but please dispose of the butts properly. Trigonos does not allow vaping indoors.

Are children welcome?
Children are welcome at Trigonos, but must be the responsibility of their parents or carers at all times. Please be aware of the risks involving vehicles and the lake & streams, especially after heavy rain.

Can I bring my dog?
We regret we do not allow dogs or other animals in the buildings (except assistance dogs). A dog can be brought to Trigonos only if it is kept in a car or other vehicle and exercised on a lead. Please contact us to discuss this.

Can I pay by credit card/online/by cheque?
Payment can be by credit and debit card, cheque, bank transfer or cash.

Do you charge VAT?
Trigonos is registered for VAT and all accommodation costs are inclusive of VAT. A VAT receipt can be provided.

Can I upgrade my bedroom?
If you are visiting with a group, bedrooms can be changed if arranged through your group organiser and subject to availability.

Are you exclusively vegetarian?
Trigonos is essentially a vegetarian venue. Very occasionally we will provide meat or fish in order to meet individual dietary requirements when it is essential to do so

Can you cater for a vegan/wheat-free diet?
Trigonos has an excellent reputation and wide experience of catering for vegan, gluten-free and other essential dietary needs.

What time are meals served?
Our usual mealtimes are: Breakfast 8 – 9am, Lunch 1pm, Evening meal 7pm. Alternative times can be arranged if discussed in advance. If you are visiting with a group your group organiser may have arranged different times – check with them about this.

Do you serve alcohol?
Visitors are welcome to bring their own alcoholic drinks and we will happily supply glasses. Trigonos does not have a license to serve alcohol.

Can you provide packed lunches?
Packed lunches for individuals can be provided if ordered the night before. For groups, packed lunches can be ordered with adequate notice.

Do you offer self-catering accommodation?
We regret this is not currently an option.

Is there access for people with a disability, including wheelchair users?
All public areas such as meeting rooms and dining room are on the ground floor and suitable for wheelchair access. Some bedrooms are suitable for people with disabilities. 

Is there access to the internet/Wi-Fi?
Broadband wi-fi is available to our visitors in all of our buildings and bedrooms. But please remember that this is a rural area and ‘superfast’ may be a bit slower than you expect.

What’s the reception like for mobile phones?
Trigonos is situated in a mountainous area and mobile phone signal is limited. Currently the EE network seems to provide the best signal in the area, but we cannot guarantee this. You are welcome to use our payphone.

Is there a phone people can ring me on while I am at Trigonos?
There is a payphone in the main house (Plas) for guests for incoming and outgoing calls: 01286 882 600. It is best to ask people to call you at a time you are likely to be available, e.g. around meal times.
Urgent messages for visitors can be sent by email or left during office hours on the Trigonos office number: 01286 882388.

Are there televisions/phones in bedrooms?
We don’t provide telephones or televisions in bedrooms. You can connect to the wifi in all our rooms.

Can you supply toiletries, etc?
A small stock of toiletries, etc. are available to buy should you need them during your stay. We supply Faith in Nature Fragrance Free Shower and Foam Bath in all rooms.

Is there a lounge for guests?
Guests are welcome to use the lounges and library to relax during their free time.

Will my room be cleaned every day?
Trigonos is primarily a centre for courses, events and other organised activities. As such we do not provide hotel style cleaning services in individual bedrooms. We will always endeavour to meet requests for assistance. If your stay is for 5 days or more we will clean rooms at around the mid point of your stay.

Is there access to the land?
Trigonos has 18 acres of gardens, woodlands, meadows and horticultural land, all accessible to our visitors. A few areas have limited access and these are clearly marked.

Can we swim in the lake?
There is access to the lake adjoining Trigonos. Swimming and all other activities involving the lake are entirely at your own risk. Trigonos cannot accept any liability for such activities.

Can we camp?
Trigonos does not have a license for campers.

Is there good walking in the area?
There are many superb low level and mountain walks within a few miles of Trigonos. We have route sheets for some of the more local walks; ranging from easy low level to major mountain walks. Please remember to always follow the mountain code.

If we are part of a group can we book extra nights after our group leaves?
If we have accommodation available before and after your event you are very welcome to extend your stay. Please contact us directly (not via the course organiser) to check availability.

What happens if we arrive late in the evening?
As Trigonos is not a hotel we do not have staff on the premises after about 9pm. If you know you will be late please let us know and we will leave you instructions of how to find your room. We cannot hold back hot meals after 9pm as we do not have the facilities to keep food in prime condition. Cold meals can be provided for you.

Can I visit as an individual rather than coming with a group?
Individuals and families are welcome to visit on a B&B or full, part-board basis.

Is there a pub or restaurant nearby?
The nearest pub is in Rhyd Ddu, about 3 miles (The Cwellyn Arms). It also has a restaurant.

Do you have a recycling policy?
Trigonos adheres to the principle “Reduce, reuse, recycle” and recycles all waste for which there is a local facility. Marked bins are available for all such materials and you are invited to help us by using the bins whenever possible.

Do you have laundry facilities or drying facilities for wet clothes?
We can provide a wash and drying service for a small fee. Wet outdoor clothes can be put in our boiler house for drying – please enquire when here.

Do you have a secure lock-up for bikes?
We do not have a dedicated lock-up at the moment. Contact us to discuss what facility we could make available.

Can we borrow bikes during our stay?
Unfortunately we do not have bikes available for use by guests. Bikes can be hired locally or Beddgelert Bikes

Can we hold our wedding at Trigonos?
Trigonos offers a package for weddings and other special celebrations. However we do not have a license for conducting marriages.

What will the weather be like?
The weather can be very variable – very warm in February or a bit cold in June!

If you are going walking in the mountains we strongly advise you check the Met Office mountain weather forecast for the Snowdonia National Park area as a whole
